Discovering a historic, unique, authentic and magic place

Many things have changed here since 1872, when Georges Blanc’s great-grandparents decided to settle in Vonnas as soft drink sellers and café owners!

The Village in the village

As soon as he joined the family business, the enthusiast cook spared no efforts to transform this place…

A strong supporter of environmental protection, Georges quickly understood how important it was to secure a healthy and beautiful environment. The special touch he gave to the buildings creates a kind of magic atmosphere where the nearby water, the colours, the flowers and the neat gardens combine with an enchanting lighting as soon as night falls.

On over 12 acres around the original restaurant, about thirty houses have been transformed or renovated to make the “Gourmet Village” dream come true. In perfect harmony, this bustling place aims to illustrate “the French Art of Living”.

An allusion to the past: on each building, a museography based on illustrations narrates the story of these old houses and trades, now defunct, that used to be at the heart of this place.

Our shops

Follow the glazed corridor and allow yourself a glance at the kitchen area before entering “La Cave (The Cellar)” to discover an impressive collection of 130,000 bottles including 3,000 references for the finest wines, champagnes and liquors: ranked among world’s 5 best Cellars!!!

Bacchus will not be jealous if you have enjoyed a Romanée-Conti, and you will get the opportunity to buy a few great bottles from the gourmet shop.

Walk across the street and discover our Interior Shop “Cuisine Passion”.

Parks, gardens and water spaces

The Dovecote Park offers superb viewpoints on almost 5 acres. Don’t miss this place, especially at night with its magic lighting effects.
The beautiful animal bronzes signed by sculptor Christian Maas add to the decoration of this enchanting area made of plants, water and light.

Le Jardin de Lara (Lara’s Garden)

Nestled in the Dovecote Park, Le Jardin de Lara (Lara’s Garden) is a playground for children aged 5 and above. It includes a slide, a cabin, a merry-go-round and many other games…
